Relics Magazine was co-created by Ni Jui Hung and Mulu Office between 2021 and 2023. This work is dedicated to Mr. N and his family.

Relics Magazine records the commemorative gifts collected by the mysterious collector Mr. N. Among many other items, there is an empty white porcelain basket vase, an inlaid enamel plate, a luminous pair of cups, glazed bird decorations, a double-sided panda embroidery, miniature models, a golden diamond-encrusted Beijing Olympic Bird’s Nest key ring, and an organically-shaped flash drive. Obtained by Mr. N during university exchanges he participated in as an educator across various cities in China, these items reflect the pursuit and desire for keepsakes by Chinese scholars and students. Seen through this work, “relics” are things beyond objects, things left behind, and/or things that are lost.
